The Kooples Art Prize

Studio Marant conceived and directed The Kooples Art Prize, a programme dedicated to supporting the emerging generation of artists in alignment with the brand’s cultural values. Each edition of the prize professionally supports two artists, acting as a career accelerator through substantial production endowments and long-term curatorial guidance.

The prize offers strong public and professional visibility through two dedicated exhibitions: a solo carte blanche presented in The Kooples’ curatorial space on the Champs-Élysées, and a group exhibition hosted by MAC VAL Museum.

Developed in collaboration with Artagon, the programme includes a two-week residency at Maison Artagon, providing artists with time, resources, and tailored support in a natural setting. The prize is structured as a comprehensive professional framework : jury, curation, scenography, production, and exhibition led by Studio Marant under the direction of Emily Marant, with the support of Marc Beyney-Sonier and Chloé Villefayot.

The first edition appointed Thomas Conchou as guest curator, accompanying the artists throughout the production process and shaping the exhibitions’ curatorial direction.
