Between 2015 and 2019, Studio Marant built a series of ephemeral platforms : part exhibition, part retail in locations picked for their character: a concierge’s lodge overlooking the Seine, a silversmith’s workshop in the Marais, the Jardins du Palais Royal. Each edition ran around a theme: nature, eroticism, travel, parallel realities.
The formats shifted each time: Inspiration Store ran four editions; Super Green and Reality Check took over Hôtel Le Cinq Codet during Paris Design Week 2017 and 2018; Madame M, co-produced with Jean-Baptiste Charpenay-Limon of Chez Moi Paris, turned Joyce Gallery into the fictional apartment of a literary character; Flash Design Store at the Hoxton Hotel ran a travel-themed selection.
