American Vintage × Festival d’Hyères

For the first edition of the American Vintage Photography Prize in 2017, Studio Marant designed the exhibition at Villa Noailles around the work of laureate Luis Alberto Rodriguez and his series A Million Little Bells. The project was then adapted for the brand’s rue du Temple boutique, where the photography became part of the retail environment rather than a separate exhibition. Racks, clothing, lighting and mirrors were incorporated into the display, while a landscape intervention developed with Merci Raymond extended the arid, mineral character of Rodriguez’s images into the space.
